Bellevue Nightscape – A Lonely Bellevue Corner
I walk through this street everyday when I was taking buses to work. I have never been here at night, until now. I have to say, the feeling is totally different. Well, maybe that’s because I am usually sleep walking when I get here in the morning. I am fully awake at this point, late at night, what a contrary, lol :)
I love light trails, however there were so few traffic at this hour, I have to wait for so long between passing by car, then scramble to press the shutter. Since I forgot to bring my shutter release, I have to use the timer function. Even with a only 5 seconds delay, I found I miss-time a lot of the pass by traffic.
I love black and white nigh scene, gave a totally different feeling to the night scene. It was so calm and serene that night, at some point I actually feel alone, and a bit . . . scare! Good thing Bellevue is usually a very safe place, so I have nothing to worry about.
This is my more successful one in terms of chasing light trails at this corner.
This is just a bit up the hill from where I was shooting. Notice the election promo boards by the road? I know a lot of photogs would have edited those out in Photoshop, not me, I think they are part of the scene, not that I am promoting those candidates, I don’t even know who they are, I am pretty ignorant when it comes to politics.
